Fraser is a suburb in the Canberra district of Belconnen. It lies at the north west end of Belconnen, and is approximately 12 kilometres north west of central business district.

The suburb is named after James Reay Fraser, who was Vice Chairman of the Joint Committee of the Australian Capital Territory from 1959-70. It was gazetted on 15 January 1974. Streets are named after early residents of Canberra, ranging from those associated with early commercial trading in Canberra to the Manager of the Yarralumla Station dairy in the 1890's.
